Been walking down this forest
Seems like it’s been an eternity
Since I’ve seen daylight
Not sure how I feel
About keeping these emotions inside
While I know that you’re willing to listen
I know you’re too busy helping others in need
We both know
There’s nothing here for me
I’m moving on to the next chapter
And see where the broken road takes me
Some things in the past
Are better left unsaid
But before I go
I pray that you will hear my request
Forgive me
For being a burden to my loved ones
I never wanted these scars to stick around
These tears running down my face
Show something more than just pain
I’m no saint but I pray
That they don’t face the same curse
I’ve been facing
This battle has gone on for too long
But I’d keep going
If it destroyed these chains
And let them forget the pain
